Ryan, a young bank teller, meets a beautiful business executive named Angelica and is instantly infatuated with her. He takes a part-time job at a high-rise apartment building across the street from Angelica's apartment, which is run by a landlady named Dolores. The job includes a cut-rate apartment that is situated with a direct view of Angelica's apartment across the street, and Ryan uses the view to start spying on Angelica. Ryan starts to pull strings to slowly inject himself into Angelica's life. When Angelica turns on him suddenly, Ryan slits his wrists in the bathtub in despair. Items from Ryan's apartment then start mysteriously appearing in Angelica's apartment with no explanation as to how they got there. With Ryan absent, his landlady Dolores starts suspiciously eying Angelica, especially when Angelica visits the apartment building and produces a memento from Dolores' late son. Who's spying on who?
